Consistency is boring but it's the only thing that produces results.
Here are two pictures. A snapshot of my running stats for the month of Jan 2022 and the other for Jan 2023. They look almost similar in terms of the miles clocked and the elevations scaled. But it also reveals several things:
- Planning is critical but only execution gets results.
- Execution is repeating tasks with a certain fixed rhythm.
- Seemingly smaller daily habits add up to produce exponential outcomes in the long run.
In this last year, while my business scaled up, my health (mental and physical) improved significantly. Two hill and one normal half marathons were squeezed in between several hundred km of climbs and runs.
