Keep it Simple - Focus on Results

Many times, we complicate our business. We know what is to be done and we ignore the obvious steps. I set myself a BHAG (shall reveal it when I inch closer to it). It needed me to lose 8 Kg weight and add muscle mass. The simple formula was - Calorie Deficit: Balance Diet. The simple strategy was:

1. Calculate the calorie deficit I would need to get into to lose 8 Kgs.

2. Calculate the calories I would need to burn through exercises (free ones) without stepping into the Gym. Exercising was both for creating the calorie deficit and gaining muscle mass.

3. Measure every bit of food intake. For that, I bought a food weighing scale. The protein, fat, carbohydrates, fibers content is easily available.

4. Do these things every day and record every bit of details (including water consumption and hours of sleep).

Today, it's been 36 days. Here are some interesting findings presented in the form of the partial data table and graphs.

Result: I have lost 2.7 Kg weight till now.
